  Structure of Calmodulin from PDB
Calmoduin is a protein that acts as a "middle-man". It detects calcium levels and then sends signals to various calcium-sensitive enzymes. Calmodulin is a single polypeptide chain of 148 residues. It contains four calcium binding sites that each have a helix-loop-helix conformation.
